It seems that <strong>John HOUSTON<\/strong> saw his daughter and a negro named <strong>Earnest SCOTT<\/strong> together and opened fire on them with a shotgun, shooting several times. The girl was shot about the face and <strong>SCOTT<\/strong> was shot in the face, legs and hands. <strong>SCOTT<\/strong> was arrested and he had two pistols.
