{"id":522,"date":"2014-01-15T00:51:02","date_gmt":"2014-01-15T06:51:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ncgenweb-data.com\/histnews\/?p=522"},"modified":"2014-01-15T00:57:26","modified_gmt":"2014-01-15T06:57:26","slug":"osborn-run-away-1836","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncgenweb-data.com\/histnews\/osborn-run-away-1836\/","title":{"rendered":"Osborn &#8211; Run Away (1836)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ran Away &#8211; From the Subscriber, on the night of the 3d October, a Negro man, by the name of Osborn, who was raised by <strong>Mr. Robert JEFFREYS<\/strong>, and was sold by a <strong>Mr. HUCKLAND<\/strong> to <strong>Allen DUNN<\/strong>, of Raleigh, from whom he was purchased by the subscriber. \u00a0Said Osborn is about 5 feet 5 1\/2 inches high, between 35 and 40 years of age, of yellow complexion, thin visage, and tolerably large forehead, had on a white hat, black jeans coat, and other clothing not recollected. \u00a0Osborn has a wife at <strong>Mr. Thomas DEVEREAUX<\/strong>&#8216;s and is lurking in the neighborhood of <strong>Wm. JEFFREYS<\/strong>&#8216; in Franklin county, he no doubt will try to pass as a free man, and endeavor to make his way for a free State.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A reward of twenty five dollars will be given for the apprehension and delivery of said Negro, or for his being lodged in Jail, so that I get him again. &#8212;<strong> John H.
