BOGART<\/strong>, of Edenton, was in the city this week.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The colored people of the Second Baptist church will build a new church.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Mrs. W.H. HAMPTON<\/strong> and son, Master Roy, are visiting relatives at Wolford, Md.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Mr. W.H. COOPER<\/strong> has been visiting his mother, at Sunny, Tyrrell county, this week.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Mr. M. NEWBERRY<\/strong>, of Maryland, was in the city during the past week, the guest of hiss sister, <strong>Mrs. S.A. BLOUNT.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We failed to note last week that <strong>Mr. W.B. WARD<\/strong> had accepted a position with <strong>Mr. W.H. HAMPTON<\/strong>, as salesman.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Mr. A.J. LEGGETT<\/strong> is now running the undertakers business at Marriner &amp; Truett&#8217;s stand on Washington street.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A fight occurred on the street Monday night between <strong>J.D. HEFFRON<\/strong> and <strong>E.G.
