OWENS<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>Miss Maggie MORGAN<\/strong>, of Richmond, Va., is the guest of her sisters, <strong>Mrs. J.O. MIDGETT<\/strong> and <strong>Miss Chlode MORGAN<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>Miss Mattie VINCENT<\/strong>, who has been visiting her brother, <strong>Mr. J.E. VINCENT<\/strong>, returned to her home on Friday last.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>After a pleasant visit of three weeks to friends in Hyde county,<strong> Miss Mary SMITH<\/strong> returned home on Saturday last.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>Mr. Will DENHARDT<\/strong>, who has been in the employ of <strong>A.M. WALKER,<\/strong> at this place during the past year, has returned to his old home in Baltimore. \u00a0We regret giving you up, Will.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>I.C. MARRINER<\/strong> has opened a saloon in <strong>R.F. BUTLER&#8217;s<\/strong> old stand, and has secured the services of <strong>Mr. R.B. HAYES,<\/strong> a well-known saloon keeper of Eastern Carolina. \u00a0Don&#8217;t drink, but if you do, &#8220;Little Bob&#8221; can fix &#8217;em up right in any style. \u00a0If you don&#8217;t believe it try him.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>A telegram was received here yesterday sent to the Sheriff of the county from the authorities of Brunswick, Ga., asking if a young white man, one <strong>J.F. GAYLORD<\/strong> was wanted in this county. \u00a0<strong>Deputy Sheriff L.I. FAGAN<\/strong> replied at once that said <strong>GAYLORD<\/strong> wanted, and to have him arrested at once. \u00a0It will be remembered that young <strong>GAYLORD<\/strong> broke jail at this place on June 9th, and escaped together with <strong>Dennis ARNOLD<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<div>Source: Roanoke Beacon, 8 August 1890, page 3.
