{"id":2843,"date":"2014-11-28T02:19:33","date_gmt":"2014-11-28T08:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ncgenweb-data.com\/histnews\/?p=2843"},"modified":"2014-11-28T02:19:33","modified_gmt":"2014-11-28T08:19:33","slug":"caught-after-two-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncgenweb-data.com\/histnews\/caught-after-two-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Caught After Two Years (1890)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mr. ADAMS,<\/strong> who was implicated in the murder of <strong>Josiah COX<\/strong> at Blount&#8217;s Creek, Beaufort county about two years ago, was lodged in Beaufort county jail a few days ago, having been captured by a Mississippi sheriff and transported 950 miles.<\/p>\n<p>It will be remembered that <strong>FRAISER,<\/strong> who did the shooting, was lynched by a masked mob. \u00a0<strong>NEWTON<\/strong> was tried as accessory and sentenced to hard labor in State prison for seven years and<strong> ADAMS<\/strong> now awaits his trial upon the charge of murder.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. ADAMS is represented by <strong>Mess. REDMAN, SMITH, and ALEXANDER<\/strong>, while <strong>Solicitor BLOUNT<\/strong> and <strong>Mess.
