READ<\/strong>, of Baltimore, is in the city, the guest of her parents, <strong>Mr. and Mrs. B.F. OWENS.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Miss Neva JOHNSTON<\/strong> has returned from a pleasant visit of ten days to her sister, <strong>Mrs. W.A. FORBES<\/strong>, of Roper.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Miss Mattie JOHNSTON<\/strong> had to close her school at Cool Spring on Wednesday as the pupils were all suffering with the Grippe.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mrs. Sarah THOMPSON<\/strong>, who ha been sojourning for the past five months with relatives in New York, returned home on Wednesday.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rev. J.F. TUTTLE<\/strong> and family arrived on the 8 o&#8217;clock train last night. \u00a0He will enter upon his charge as pastor of the Baptist Church Sunday morning.
