OWENS<\/strong> received a fine horse from Baltimore yesterday.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Miss Mattie JOHNSON<\/strong> is teaching school at Cool Spring, near town.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. T.J. MARRINER<\/strong>, Clerk Superior Court, spent the past week in Norfolk.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. E.A. CARTER<\/strong> has returned from a visit to the western part of the State.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Misses Allie RODGERSON<\/strong> and <strong>Fannie MANNING<\/strong> are visiting friends at Scotland Neck.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Eddie TARKENTON<\/strong>, formerly with <strong>J.O. MIDGETT,<\/strong> has accepted a position with<strong> J.W. BRYAN<\/strong>, druggist.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Geo. McDONALD<\/strong> has opened a bar at the old stand of <strong>W.H. WEST<\/strong>, and says &#8220;the old man is not dead yet.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. H.H. NORMAN<\/strong> having permanently located in Plymouth, offers his professional services to the public.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Eddie YEAGER<\/strong>, after an absence of several years, is home on a visit to his father,<strong> Mr. N.B. YEAGER.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Clarence LATHAM<\/strong>, assistant Post Master, is taking a vacation, and in his absence the position is filled by <strong>Mr. Eugene MARRINER<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>We are informed that <strong>Mr. H.A.
