(d. 1878)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><strong>Death of an Estimable Young Man<\/strong> &#8211; -we received Wednesday the sad intelligence of the death in Baltimore of <strong>Mr. J.A. TURPIN<\/strong> of this place. \u00a0He had been suffering for some time with an inward affliction, and left for Baltimore about a week or two ago to place himself under medical treatment; but the operation which he had to undergo proved too severe and caused his untimely death. \u00a0He leaves a young wife to mourn his loss. \u00a0His remains were brought to Weldon Thursday and interred in the family burying place on <strong>Mrs. MORECOCK\u2019S<\/strong> farm near Gaston. \u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.6;\"><strong>Mr. TURPIN<\/strong> was an estimable young man and in his death the community in which he lived has sustained great loss.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Source: Roanoke News, 5 October\u00a01878.
