WHALEY.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Chief Engineer<strong>, W.W. SEARBORO<\/strong> was summoned home by the illness of his wife.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mrs. J. B. HUNTER<\/strong> has been visiting her sister<strong> Mrs. J.F. NORMAN\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. W.C. AYERS<\/strong> gave his patent garlic machine a test on Tuesday.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Miss Ella BATEMAN<\/strong>, daughter of <strong>J.M. BATEMAN<\/strong> Esq, who has been ill, returned home much improved.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Geo. DIXON<\/strong> who has been a salesman for <strong>W.C. AYERS&#8217;<\/strong> store, left for Edenton where he accepted a position on the &#8220;Eastern Advocate&#8221; a new paper for that town.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. S.M. WHALEY<\/strong> left to visit his family in Norfolk.
