ALEXANDER<\/strong>, a farmer of this county. \u00a0 He was suffering from a dangerous disease of the lower bowels, and his death seemed to be the only hope of relief. <strong>\u00a0Dr. S. HASSELL<\/strong>, his physician, decided to perform the operation, which he did successfully, with the able assistance of <strong>Dr. W.H. WARD<\/strong> of Plymouth, and <strong>Dr. B.F.
