MERCER<\/strong> made a flying trip to Plymouth last week.<\/li>\n<li>A protracted meeting is in progress at Scuppernong this week.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. and Mrs. McCASKEY<\/strong> are visiting across the sound this week.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Tom NIXON,<\/strong> of Hertford, was the guest of his sister,<strong> Mrs. NEWBOLD<\/strong>, last week.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. and Mrs. D.F. ARMSTRONG<\/strong> are visiting <strong>Mrs. ARMSTRONG&#8217;s<\/strong> parents, at the rectory.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Miss PEACOCK<\/strong> of Roper, is the guess of <strong>Miss Bev&lt;&#8230;&gt; OWENS<\/strong>, at her country home near Creswell.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. J.A. SEXTON<\/strong>, of Roper, was in our midst Saturday and Sunday. \u00a0His old acquaintances were glad to see him.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. WALKER<\/strong>, now teaching at Roper, made a flying trip to our town, prospecting. \u00a0Creswell Academy the attraction.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mrs. Justine STEINE<\/strong>, of Virginia, with her little son, <strong>Rowe<\/strong>, is on a visit to her mother, <strong>Mrs. Mary ROWE,<\/strong> corner Main street and Penn. Ave.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Rev.
