Jno. Alexander Has Operation (1900)

Beacon Flashes — A difficult surgical operation was performed recently upon Mr. Jno. ALEXANDER, a farmer of this county.   He was suffering from a dangerous disease of the lower bowels, and his death seemed to be the only hope of relief.  Dr. S. HASSELL, his physician, decided to perform the operation, which he did successfully, with the able assistance of Dr. W.H. WARD of Plymouth, and Dr. B.F. HALLSEY, of Roper.  We are glad to report Mr. ALEXANDER out of danger at this writing.
