STRICKLAND, (infant) – (b. 1890)

Dr. J.T. STRICKLAND, of Thomasville, was in town last week, wearing a particularly happy expression on his countenance. The explanation is easy. A recent turn of the wheel of fortune made him a father. He has a right to be happy.

Mrs. A.L. Cahoon Has Daughter (1889)

Excerpt from the “Creswell Letter” column:

Mrs. A.L. CAHOON, wife of our new merchants (who was formerly Master of Str. I.D. COLEMAN), presented the Captain with a fine daughter on the 24th inst., which makes his second child and causes him to look very happy.

On the 12th inst., Mrs. M.M. ALEXANDER, wife of one of our popular merchants, presented her “liege lord” with a fine daughter and he now says he is worth a million.
