Beacon Flashes (May 9, 1890)

Excerpts from the Beacon Flashes column:

  • Misses Laura and Florence BLOUNT, of Roper, were in the city on Wednesday.
  • A picnic will be given today at “Chape’ Hill” near town, to the city free school. Mrs. J.E. DAVENPORT, teacher.
  • Mr. S. BAYNOR is having a new building erected on the vacant lot corner Water and Adams street.  Let the good work go on.
